Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has received Ruslan Edelgeriyev, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation and Special Presidential Representative on Climate Issues.

During the meeting, cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in combating climate change, COP issues, as well as regional and international topics of mutual interest were discussed. 

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided information on the experience gained and results achieved by Azerbaijan within the framework of its COP29 Presidency, as well as our country's close cooperation with Australia, which will hold the COP31 Presidency, and the host country Türkiye.  

Bilateral cooperation issues regarding the Caspian Sea were also touched upon during the meeting. In this context, the importance of intensifying the activities of the bilateral Working Group established on the Caspian Sea was emphasized. 

Highlighting the importance of protecting the Caspian Sea's water resources and unique ecosystem, the significance of implementing joint projects and applying innovative technologies in this direction, including in the agricultural sector, was drawn to attention.

During the meeting, an exchange of views also took place on other bilateral issues of mutual interest.
