President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has made a phone call to his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Head of State extended his heartfelt congratulations to Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday, wishing him robust health, long life, and continued success and achievements in his honorable high state activities for the happy future and prosperity of the brotherly people of Uzbekistan.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the warm congratulations and kind words, and in turn wished prosperity and well-being to the people of Azerbaijan.

During the phone conversation, the importance of Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan strategic alliance relations was emphasized, and satisfaction was expressed with the successful development of ties in all fields.

The heads of state also expressed their agreement on future contacts and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and the prospects for bilateral relations.
