Porto has intensified negotiations to sign Italian side AC Milan's forward Santiago Gimenez and is preparing to submit an official offer in the near future.

Operativ Media reports, citing renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, that the Portuguese side aims to sign the 25-year-old Mexican player on loan with an option to buy. An agreement on personal terms has already been reached between the parties.

Gimenez has been playing for Milan since February 2025, and his current contract runs until June 30, 2029.

This season, the striker has registered one goal and one assist in 17 appearances. Transfermarkt values the Mexican international at €18 million.
