Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed new avenues of bilateral cooperation during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Operativ Media reports that Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced a new building of the Nizami Ganjavi National Pedagogical University will open in Uzbekistan.

He also noted that an Azerbaijan Park will be established in the country.

The Uzbek president recalled that a major sporting event—the Youth Football World Cup—will be co-hosted by both countries next year.

According to him, it is advisable to develop a comprehensive "Two Countries – One Championship" program combining sports, cultural, and youth events ahead of the tournament.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also emphasized that Azerbaijan's participation in the consultative meetings format creates new opportunities for expanding economic and humanitarian cooperation between the two regions.
