On August 23, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid the foundation stone for the "Azerbaijan" park in the city of New Tashkent.

Operativ Media  reports that a public space reflecting Azerbaijan's rich culture, centuries-old history, and traditions will be created in the park. The park will play an important role in bringing the brotherly peoples of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan even closer together.

The establishment of the "Uzbekistan" park in Baku and the "Azerbaijan" park in New Tashkent will serve as another symbol of the centuries-old friendship, mutual respect, and cultural affinity between the two nations, as well as the strong and dynamically developing relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
