Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's state visit to Uzbekistan is receiving widespread coverage across Russian media. Russian publications are focusing on the negotiations between the two leaders, the signing of the Treaty on Allied Relations (Eternal Friendship), the advancement of trade, economic, and transport cooperation, and new joint initiatives between Baku and Tashkent.

Operativ Media reports via AZERTAC that the TASS news agency highlighted the signing of the Treaty on Allied Relations by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The agency noted that the heads of state also signed several other documents, including a roadmap to raise bilateral trade turnover to $1 billion, as well as cooperation agreements in tourism and culture.

Interfax news agency provided detailed reporting on the outcome of the talks and the third session of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Supreme Interstate Council. The report noted that the sides intend to further deepen their strategic partnership and allied relations, expand industrial cooperation, and make more active use of the joint investment company's capabilities.

Interfax gave special attention to transport cooperation, citing Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's remarks on Tashkent's interest in establishing a dedicated Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan transport corridor managed by a single operator on the Caspian Sea, as well as accelerating the launch of a joint fleet within the framework of developing the Middle Corridor.

Russia's Vedomosti wrote that relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have reached a high level, noting that bilateral trade has tripled over the past five years. The newspaper also highlighted joint projects in the energy, chemical, extractive, textile, agricultural, and urban development sectors, alongside plans to reach $1 billion in mutual trade turnover.

Russian media outlets also covered the launch of new joint projects during the visit spanning the banking and financial sector, the oil and gas industry, education, tourism, residential construction, mining, and agriculture.

Several publications focused on President Ilham Aliyev's statements regarding the development of transport routes. Russian outlets specifically quoted the head of state on the ongoing work to establish the Zangezur corridor within Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as the prospects for implementing the TRIPP project across Armenia.

Russian media also covered the mutual award ceremony between the heads of state, noting that President Ilham Aliyev was honored with Uzbekistan's highest state award, the Supreme Order of "Oliy Darajali Dustlik", while President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the "Heydar Aliyev" Order.

Russian media further highlighted Uzbekistan's distinct role in implementing projects across Azerbaijan's liberated territories. Outlets quoted President Ilham Aliyev emphasizing that Uzbekistan was the first country to support the reconstruction of Karabakh, constructing a 960-seat school and investing in the launch of a major garment manufacturing facility.
