Armenia will soon begin the process of submitting a formal application for European Union membership.

Operativ Media reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this.

He noted that a referendum on EU membership should be held not at the start of the process, but once a clear roadmap is ready.

“My understanding is that we will hold a referendum after we officially apply for EU membership, receive a corresponding response, and obtain a roadmap for the process,” Nikol Pashinyan emphasized.
