US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has announced the launch of an operation he described as "Economic Isolation."

Operativ Media reports that the US has added around 50 entities, more than 20 individuals, and 6 oil tankers linked to Iran to its sanctions list.

Bessent stated that Washington is ready to impose new sanctions against any third country that continues economic ties with Iran.

The US goal is to block all revenue sources for the Iranian authorities and isolate the country economically.
