Former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has been placed under a travel ban and ordered not to leave his place of residence as part of a criminal case involving large-scale money laundering, abuse of office, and bribery.

Notably, some of the individuals detained in connection with the case, including the former president's son, have been placed under house arrest.
