Lithuania was aware in advance of US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Ratcliffe's visit to Moscow.

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda stated this, Operativ Media reports.

Asked by journalists whether Vilnius was aware of Ratcliffe's visit, Nauseda replied, "Yes, we knew."

The Lithuanian president did not disclose the substance of Ratcliffe's talks in Moscow. He stated that the meetings could help reduce geopolitical tensions in the region, adding that this gave him positive feelings.
