U.S. President Donald Trump has changed the name of Lake Ontario to "Lake America."

Operativ Media reports that Trump spoke about this in a statement to journalists at the White House.

He signed the corresponding order in the presence of media representatives.

“We are changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America. From the moment I sign this order, this decision takes effect immediately,” Trump said.

The U.S. President noted that all necessary documents for the name change have already been prepared.

“We have notified the various individuals who need to be informed. Thus, we have taken all necessary measures. From this moment on, the decision is official,” Trump added.
