The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Pavel Radomski, has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, a strong protest was expressed regarding biased, non-objective, and completely unacceptable allegations directed against the Azerbaijani state and its leadership in a segment aired on August 26, 2026, on the "Eastern Express" program of Poland's public broadcaster TVP (TVP World). Protest was also registered over the provocative behavior of the host during the broadcast, and a note of protest was presented to the ambassador.

It was pointed out that the dissemination of distorted information raises questions for Azerbaijan, particularly at a time when the country is making resolute efforts toward the normalization and peace process with Armenia, as well as ensuring lasting peace, stability, and security in the region.

The broadcasting of negative content against Azerbaijan on a public broadcaster funded by the Polish government was assessed as an unfriendly step that contradicts the spirit of partnership between the two countries and has the potential to seriously damage bilateral relations.

The Polish side was urged to take immediate and effective measures to stop such provocative campaigns targeting Azerbaijan.
