Azerbaijan and Belarus hold latest round of political consultations

Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov has visited the Republic of Belarus.

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Operativ Media.

During the visit, the deputy minister was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maksim Ryzhenkov.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues arising from the strategic partnership between the two states. They highlighted the special role of both countries' leaders in developing the strategic partnership based on friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus.

Subsequently, the next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus was held. The consultations were led by Deputy Minister Samir Sharifov from the Azerbaijani side and Deputy Foreign Minister Pavel Utyupin from the Belarusian side.

During the consultations, the positive dynamics of the bilateral political dialogue were emphasized, and the important role of the Intergovernmental Commission and the political consultation mechanism was noted.

They also discussed the implementation status of reached agreements, as well as the current state and prospects of cooperation in trade, economy, energy, agriculture, humanitarian, and other areas of mutual interest.

In addition, cooperation within regional and international organizations was reviewed.

The sides also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest during the consultations.
