The press services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) report that a landmine explosion occurred on September 5, 2026, in the territory of the liberated Chamanli Saricali village of the Aghdam district.

ANAMA reported this to Operativ Media.

A tractor driven by Elmdar Khan oglu Sariyev, born in 1972 and a resident of Shotlanli village in the Aghjabadi district, hit a landmine in an uncleared area. Sariyev was injured in the incident.

An investigation is underway at the Aghdam District Prosecutor's Office.

ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General's Office once again urge citizens to adhere to safety regulations, pay close attention to mine hazard signs, avoid touching suspicious objects, refrain from entering unfamiliar areas, and not to breach fenced zones.

A landmine incident has occurred in the Aghdam district.

A tractor performing agricultural work hit a landmine. The vehicle was damaged as a result of the explosion.

No one was injured in the incident.
