President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva have visited the Naval Forces.

Operativ Media reports that Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov reported to President and Victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.

The head of state and the First Lady paid tribute to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev by laying flowers at his monument in front of the Naval Forces headquarters.

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva were briefed on the purpose and tactical-technical characteristics of the SALVO armed unmanned surface vessels (SİDV) and KAYRA kamikaze unmanned surface vessels (KİDV), which were developed using advanced technological innovations at the joint production facility of MIRAS Military-Industrial Company LLC, operating under the Ministry of Defense, and DEARSAN Shipyard JSC.

The head of state and the First Lady then toured the production facility to inspect the work being done.

Subsequently, the unmanned surface vessels produced there underwent practical testing.

Finally, an operational meeting on military development was held under the chairmanship of President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.
