The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the "Rules for declaring goods and vehicles transported across the customs border."

Operativ Media reports that under the decision, the "Red Channel" clearance system will be designated for declaring goods in written paper or electronic form by submitting a simplified declaration.

When individuals carry goods in hand luggage and/or accompanied baggage that are not intended for production or commercial purposes but must be declared in writing, they will submit a simplified declaration to the customs authorities in the form specified in Appendix No. 10 of these Rules.

For goods not intended for production or commercial purposes carried in unaccompanied baggage (excluding international mail accompanied by documents provided for in the acts of the Universal Postal Union), a simplified declaration in the form specified in Appendix No. 12 of these Rules must be submitted to the customs authorities.

In connection with the amendments, Appendices No. 10 and 12 have been approved in a new edition.

This decision comes into force 30 (thirty) days after the date of its publication.

Under the previous rules, the "Red Channel" clearance system was designed for declaring goods in written paper or electronic form by submitting a simplified declaration in the form specified in Appendix No. 10 of these Rules. Individuals transported goods that had to be declared in written paper form across the customs border using the "Red Channel" system specified in paragraph 9.3 of these Rules, by submitting a simplified declaration.
