Ensuring food security is one of the main priorities of domestic policy.

Operativ Media reports that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this at an event themed "Restoring Trust in a Fragmented World: The South Caucasus as a Pillar of Global Connectivity and Investment Stability," organized within the framework of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum held in Baku under his patronage.

The head of state said that strengthening Azerbaijan's integration with the European market and increasing mutual economic dependence between the parties is one of the strategic priorities:

"This process has a positive impact on both the development of regional connectivity and the country's internal economic resilience. As part of meeting local needs, ensuring food security is one of the main priorities of domestic policy. Factors such as the severe consequences of global climate change and the depletion of water resources make it necessary to apply new approaches in the agricultural sector. In response to current challenges, the State Program on Food Security has been adopted in the country. Although there are certain limitations and natural difficulties in the sector, the measures taken are aimed at increasing the potential of agriculture. According to experts' assessments, the reforms implemented and the conditions created make this sector an attractive business environment for both domestic and foreign investors."
