Global Media Widely Covers Azerbaijan International Investment Forum in Baku
The Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum held in Baku, the views expressed, the agreements and investment documents signed, as well as President Ilham Aliyev's participation and meetings at the prestigious event, have drawn the attention of global media.
Operativ Media reports, citing Azertac, that media outlets in Turkey, Russia, Europe, Central Asia, and other countries have published extensive reports on the event.
Turkish media outlet SonDurak reported that 23 investment documents worth $10.8 billion were signed during the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, held under the patronage of President Ilham Aliyev. It noted that Azerbaijan's participation in projects like the Middle Corridor boosts its economic potential, with investors expressing their intention to invest in the country.
The Haberler.com website highlighted that Azerbaijan possesses significant transit potential between Europe and Asia. The established transport infrastructure has opened up broad opportunities for future economic growth, noting that economic reforms have been effectively implemented in Azerbaijan, the most economically developed country in the South Caucasus.
Bloomberg reported that, following negotiations during the forum between SOCAR, France's TotalEnergies, and Abu Dhabi-based XRG, an agreement was reached to invest in the Absheron gas and condensate field. The report noted that an additional 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be produced from the Absheron field over the next three years.
