On September 29, a meeting was held in Moscow between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, and the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, Igor Krasnov.

According to information provided to Operativ Media by the Prosecutor General's Office, the meeting highlighted the crucial role of the friendly and trust-based relations between the heads of state in developing ties between Azerbaijan and Russia. It was emphasized that relations between the two countries are developing on the principles of strategic partnership and allied interaction, providing a solid foundation for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.

The Prosecutor General noted the high level of long-standing relations between the prosecution authorities of the two countries, highlighting effective cooperation in mutual legal assistance, the fight against crime, and the exchange of experience and information.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for the future development of legal relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, further strengthening of institutional cooperation, mutual exchange of experience, as well as opportunities for cooperation in legal education and professional training of personnel. In this regard, views were exchanged on expanding ties and promoting joint scientific and practical events, training sessions, and experience sharing.

Expressing interest in developing constructive relations and strong, trust-based, long-term cooperation with his Azerbaijani colleagues, Igor Krasnov expressed confidence that the meeting would contribute to the further development of relations between the relevant agencies of the two countries.

During the meeting, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev presented Igor Krasnov with the jubilee medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan, "100th Anniversary of the Azerbaijani Prosecution (1918–2018)."
