The sixth meeting of the Joint Commission on economic, industrial, and technological cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Greece is scheduled to take place in Athens tomorrow.

The Ministry of Energy reported this to Operativ Media.

A delegation led by Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, who co-chairs the commission, has already left for Greece. The Greek delegation to the Intergovernmental Commission will be chaired by the country's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Theoharis Theoharis.

In addition to the intergovernmental commission meeting, bilateral meetings and a Greece-Azerbaijan business forum are planned during the visit.

The fifth meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission was held in Baku on June 13, 2024.

In January-August of this year, mutual trade between Azerbaijan and Greece totaled $631.014 million, representing a 1.3-fold increase compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan's exports to Greece amounted to $564 million (+25.1%), while imports from Greece to Azerbaijan reached $67 million (+2.4 times).
