Organizing the first CICA Media Forum in Baku on Azerbaijan's initiative, and holding it on the eve of the CICA Summit, is of particular importance for drawing attention to the organization's key international role and the joint activities carried out with member states during our chairmanship.

Operativ Media reports that this was stated in President Ilham Aliyev's address to the participants of the Media Forum of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), organized by the Media and Broadcasting Council under the theme "Building Trust through Media in a Polarized World."

The head of state also noted that today's forum, dedicated to "Building Trust through Media in a Polarized World," is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate that the information and communication sector is an essential component of confidence-building. Media is no longer viewed merely as a means of exchanging information, but as an important tool for public diplomacy, mutual understanding, and regional cooperation.
