Reliable information must become a quality indicator not only for professional journalism, but for the information environment as a whole.

Operativ Media  reports that this was stated in President Ilham Aliyev's address to the participants of the Media Forum of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on "Building Trust through Media in a Polarized World," organized by the Media and Broadcasting Council.

The head of state also noted: "Strengthening cooperation between government agencies, media entities, digital platforms, journalists, researchers, and civil society is of great importance in this regard. Enhancing media literacy and the responsible application of new technologies are also crucial conditions for building sustainable foundations of trust."
