Mukhtar Babayev, the presidential envoy for climate issues, has met with the Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Katsuya Watanabe.

Operativ Media reports that Babayev shared this on his X social media account.

"I was pleased to meet with the Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Katsuya Watanabe. I expressed my gratitude for his contributions to strengthening Azerbaijan-Japan relations, as well as our cooperation on climate and environmental issues," he wrote.

Babayev wished Watanabe success in his future endeavors and expressed his best wishes for the next stage of his diplomatic career.
