On October 1, Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Defense – Director General Agil Gurbanov, along with the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, Army General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, Commander of the Naval Forces, Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu, Commander of the Land Forces, Army General Metin Tokel, and Commander of the Air Force, Army General Rafet Dalkıran, attended the 6th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition, "ADEX-2026".

During the exhibition, the guests visited the stands of defense industry companies from the Republic of Türkiye and viewed the displayed weapons, equipment, aviation, and flight vehicles.
As part of the exhibition, Director General A. Gurbanov also met with Major General Andis Dilans, Chief of the Joint Staff of the National Armed Forces of Latvia, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, it was noted that the "ADEX-2026" exhibition is an important platform for creating new cooperation opportunities in the defense industry, discussing advanced technologies and innovative solutions, as well as developing mutual relations.
Director General A. Gurbanov and the guest discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Latvia in the defense industry and security sectors, and exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
