Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met on October 2 with the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey, Yasar Guler, who is on an official visit to the country.

During the meeting held in Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, it was noted that the brotherly and strategic alliance relations between the two countries are developing dynamically in all areas, including the military sphere.
It was particularly emphasized that expanding the scope of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey is under the constant supervision of the heads of state.
Highlighting the importance of the "Power of Unity-2026" joint military exercise held with the participation of servicemen and such meetings, the defense ministers expressed confidence that the partnership will continue successfully in the future.
The bilateral meeting discussed cooperation in the military, military-technical, and military-educational fields, as well as regional security and ways to ensure lasting peace in the region.
