Increasing our military strength is one of the main tasks.

Operativ Media reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this during his speech at the 8th Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP).

Pointing to Azerbaijan's glorious victory, the absence of conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia today, and other factors, the head of state explained why this [increasing our military strength] is necessary: "I think the answer to this is very clear. This is always necessary, for every country. Because our people have faced this tragedy."
