Operativ Media reports, citing AZERTAC, that these remarks were made by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, at the CAMCA Regional Forum.

He noted that US President Donald Trump and his administration have played a commendable role in the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process.

“Our commitment to peace was strongly reciprocated by the US. They stated that they support the peace agenda. As a result, President Trump threw his political weight behind this process,” the presidential assistant said.
