As previously reported, a delegation led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev is on an official visit to the Russian Federation.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, which spoke to Operativ Media, the delegation led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev attended the 24th meeting of the Prosecutors General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states in Kazan on October 1.

Speaking at the meeting on "Protecting traditional family values and preventing the spread of unlawful content among minors," Kamran Aliyev stated that the protection of families and children in the Republic of Azerbaijan is built on solid constitutional and legislative foundations.

The Prosecutor General noted that the family, as the core unit of society, is under special state protection, while ensuring the rights, legal interests, and safety of children remains a key priority of state policy.

He then provided detailed information on the measures taken by prosecution authorities to protect children's rights and prevent the involvement of minors in criminal activities.

During the event, congratulations were also officially extended to the employees and veterans of the Azerbaijani prosecution authorities on October 1, marking the 108th anniversary of the establishment of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the professional holiday of prosecution workers.

On the sidelines of the event, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev held a bilateral meeting with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan, Habibullo Vohidzoda.

During the meeting, the sides praised the existing cooperation between the prosecution authorities of the two countries, exchanged views on further expanding legal cooperation and issues of mutual interest, and agreed to draft and sign a new cooperation program.

During the visit, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev also met with the Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic, Malik Bekturganov.

The parties discussed the current state and development prospects of cooperation between their prosecution authorities, emphasizing the importance of continuing mutual activity in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in studying Azerbaijan's experience in the digitalization of prosecution services, as well as in combating cybercrime.

Additionally, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev met with the newly appointed Executive Secretary of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of CIS Member States, Aleksandr Gennadyevich Bazhenov. The Prosecutor General congratulated Aleksandr Bazhenov on his appointment, expressing confidence that his professional experience in prosecution authorities would contribute to the Council's work. They emphasized Azerbaijan's active participation in the Coordinating Council and the importance of further expanding cooperation within the body.

During the event, the Prosecutor General also held working meetings with his counterparts from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and other countries to discuss matters of mutual interest.

As part of the visit, Ilgar Safarov, Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor General for Special Assignments, delivered a lecture on "Digital Transformation of the Prosecutor's Office and Professional Responsibility" at the Kazan Law Institute of the University of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation. He briefed the audience on the experience of the Azerbaijani Prosecutor's Office in this field, participated in panel discussions, and answered questions from the audience.

With this, the official visit of the delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation concluded.
