Two records set at World Cup in Baku
The final session of the second day of the World Cup, organized by the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation (ASF) with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, at the Baku Aquatics Palace was marked by historic moments.
According to information provided by the ASF to Operativ Media, final competitions were held in 10 categories on the next day of the tournament.
The day's highlight came from Yegor Kornev. The Russian swimmer equaled world record holder Kyle Chalmers' mark with a time of 44.84 seconds in the 100-meter freestyle.
Kornev also broke the World Cup record in the 50-meter backstroke, clocking 22.23 seconds.
Azerbaijan's Fatima Alkaramova competed in the finals, finishing seventh in the 400-meter individual medley.
