President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated Iraqi President Nizar Amidi on the occasion of his country's national holiday.

Operativ Media reports that the congratulatory message reads:

"Dear Mr. President,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my heartiest congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to your entire people on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Iraq.

I believe that we will make joint efforts to further strengthen Azerbaijan-Iraq state-to-state relations and expand our cooperation in line with the interests of our friendly peoples.

On this pleasant day, I wish you robust health, happiness, and success in your endeavors, and wish the friendly people of Iraq constant peace and prosperity."
