Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has congratulated Lesotho on its Independence Day.

Operativ Media reports that the ministry shared a post about this on its social media accounts.

"Sincere congratulations to the people and Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho on the occasion of Lesotho's National Day! Happy National Day!" the post reads.

The country, formerly known as Basutoland, gained independence from Great Britain on October 4, 1966, becoming a sovereign state.
