During large-scale protests by high school students in France, 24 educational institutions were burned or looted.
Operativ Media reports that Education Minister Édouard Geffray announced this on the France 2 television channel.
According to him, due to the ongoing high school student protests in the country, more than 400 schools in France will not resume in-person classes on October 5.
The high school student protests began last week in the Île-de-France region of Paris before spreading to other regions of France. Demonstrators are protesting against overloaded class schedules, teacher shortages, and other issues in the education system. Police have detained more than 5,000 protesters.
