Portugal national team head coach Jorge Jesus has announced that forward Cristiano Ronaldo could be invited back to the national team.

Operativ Media reports that the specialist told A Bola that Ronaldo's return to the national team is possible.

Jesus said the decision regarding the 41-year-old player's future depends on himself: "I don't know what will happen, all options are open for me. He must decide for himself how his life will continue before he is called up to the national team. If he is playing and wants to be in the national team, he can return at any time. Why not?"

The head coach characterized the situation between him and Ronaldo as a misunderstanding and emphasized that the issue can be easily resolved. According to him, everything is fine at the moment, but time will tell when the matter will be fully resolved.

Notably, Ronaldo previously left the national team camp before the Nations League group stage match against Denmark, which ended in a 4-2 victory for Portugal.

Although media reports suggested a conflict between the 41-year-old footballer and Jose Jesus, the specialist had stated that there was no misunderstanding between the parties.
