Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with a delegation led by Deemah AlYahya, Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO).

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Digital Cooperation Organization following the country's membership this year, as well as expanding interaction in digital transformation, innovation, artificial intelligence, the digital economy, and the startup ecosystem.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan has identified digital development, innovation, and the implementation of new technologies as key areas of the country's economic growth and international cooperation. In this context, he provided information on measures taken by Azerbaijan to develop the digital economy, upgrade digital infrastructure, and implement innovative solutions, including artificial intelligence.

The meeting also featured an exchange of views on Azerbaijan's contribution to energy security and projects implemented to ensure the transport of energy resources via reliable and diversified routes. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan plays an active role in regional and international energy cooperation, and that the development of energy infrastructure and transport routes serves to strengthen economic ties between countries. Detailed information was also provided on the use of advanced digital technologies in this framework.

Furthermore, Azerbaijan's contributions to developing transport and communication links in the region, increasing the efficiency of international transport corridors, and expanding transit capabilities were highlighted. The importance of applying digital technologies and optimizing logistics processes in this direction was emphasized.

DCO Secretary-General Deemah AlYahya provided detailed information on the organization's activities, noted Azerbaijan's achievements in digital development, and emphasized the organization's interest in further developing cooperation with Azerbaijan.

The parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest, including topical matters on the international and regional agenda.
