The investigation involving Germany's former intelligence chief August Hanning has no connection to Azerbaijan.
Operativ Media reports this, citing AnewZ.
According to the information, German intelligence agencies have informed the Azerbaijani side that the case is related to other countries.
Sources also state that Hanning used the allegedly obtained classified materials himself to prepare analytical reports, without passing the primary materials to third parties.
It was noted that German prosecutors have not publicly disclosed the names of the foreign intelligence services or the countries involved. Azerbaijan's Media and Broadcasting Council has labeled reports linking Azerbaijan to the case as disinformation.
