Kyrgyz President: Azerbaijan's presidency will give new impetus to our joint work
Azerbaijan's presidency of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2027 will give new impetus to joint work and the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
Operativ Media reports, citing AZERTAC, that Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov said this at the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan held in the city of Turkmenbashi.
Congratulating Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on assuming the first presidency of the Consultative Meeting, Sadyr Japarov emphasized: "I am confident that Azerbaijan's presidency will give new impetus to our joint work and the development of mutually beneficial cooperation."
He added: "The Kyrgyz Republic is ready to provide the necessary support and assist in the successful implementation of the priorities of Azerbaijan's presidency."
Speaking about the development of tourism cooperation, Sadyr Japarov emphasized that the tourism potential of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries complements each other.
Sadyr Japarov noted: "Historic cities, mountain and Caspian routes, and a rich cultural heritage allow us to join forces to promote Central Asia and Azerbaijan as attractive travel destinations."
The Kyrgyz President proposed developing cooperation based on the "one trip - several countries" principle, combining the sights of the countries into joint tourist routes.
He also expressed hope that Azerbaijan would consistently support Kyrgyzstan's initiative to introduce a single tourist visa and proposed instructing the Ministries of Foreign Affairs to develop concrete mechanisms for its implementation.
