A meeting has been held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population with Dmytro Shlapachenko, the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan.

Operativ Media reports that the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population released information about this.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to a close and sustainable partnership with the UN.

He expressed confidence that valuable contributions would be made to the further development of this cooperation during D. Shlapachenko's tenure in the country.

D. Shlapachenko expressed satisfaction with the establishment of fruitful cooperation between UN agencies and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population in the process of social reforms and supporting socially vulnerable groups in Azerbaijan.

The meeting highlighted the importance of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for 2026-2030, signed between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the UN.

Within the framework of this cooperation, views were exchanged on joint work to be carried out in various areas of the Ministry's activities, particularly in the development of human capital, promotion of decent working conditions, and strengthening of the social protection system.
