President: Azerbaijan ready to assume CIS chairmanship in 2028

Azerbaijan is ready to assume the chairmanship of the CIS in 2028.

President Ilham Aliyev said this at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, Operativ Media reports.

"I would like to express my gratitude for the support of the decision on Azerbaijan's co-chairmanship of the CIS in 2027. We view this as a testament to the high level of trust in our country and are ready to actively participate in implementing our common tasks," the head of state said.
