Azerbaijan Airlines flights J2-185/J2-186 (Baku–Moscow Domodedovo–Baku) and J2-805/J2-806 (Baku–Moscow Vnukovo–Baku) scheduled for October 9 have been disrupted due to restrictions imposed in Russian airspace.

Operativ Media reports that the morning flight J2-185 from Baku to Moscow made a forced landing in St. Petersburg.

Due to the reintroduction of airspace restrictions, the aircraft was unable to return to Baku. Additionally, the morning flight J2-805 from Baku to Moscow returned to Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

The current restrictions have also affected the timely arrival of aircraft at their destinations and the execution of subsequent flights. Consequently, the scheduled evening flights J2-186 and J2-806 on these routes have been postponed.

Azerbaijan's national carrier is actively monitoring the situation and taking measures to provide the necessary support to passengers. Passengers will be kept informed of any changes to the flight schedule through official information channels.

The safety of passengers and flights remains the top priority for Azerbaijan Airlines. All operational decisions are made taking into account the current circumstances and safety requirements.
