US President Donald Trump has announced that he held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, reaching an agreement for Russia to supply large volumes of diesel fuel to the US and global markets.

Operativ Media reports that Trump shared this on the Truth Social platform.

According to Trump, Russia will immediately supply more than 300,000 tons of diesel fuel to the US and global markets. An additional 500,000 tons will be shipped during November, followed immediately by another 1 million tons.

The US President stated that, depending on the condition of Russian refineries, an additional 3 million tons of diesel fuel is also planned for delivery in the near future.

Trump noted that full US control over the Strait of Hormuz, combined with this agreement on Russian energy resources, will lead to lower diesel prices for Americans and global consumers alike.

He added that securing record-low fuel prices for Americans—especially farmers, ranchers, and truck drivers—is a top priority for his administration.

Trump described the agreement as highly important.
