Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov said:

“Dear Ilham Heydar oglu, many aspects have always united Azerbaijan and the Chechen Republic. For me personally, this is the brotherly relationship between Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev and the first President of the Chechen Republic of Russia, Akhmat Kadyrov. May God rest both of their souls. Both of them strove for peace, stability, and good-neighborly relations, which is why I have come here on a visit not to neighbors, but to brothers.

On my own behalf and on behalf of the entire Chechen people, I would like to express my deepest condolences once again regarding the crash of the Baku-Grozny plane in December 2024. This is our shared grief.

We sincerely share the grief of the brotherly Azerbaijani people and pray for the souls of all those who perished.

Dear Ilham Heydar oglu, taking this opportunity, I would like to congratulate your people on the resolution of the Karabakh issue. I am confident that peace and stability will permanently prevail in the region.

These days, the World Judo Championships are being held in Baku. I would like to congratulate your athletes on their worthy results. The Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin Olympic Judo Training Center operates in the Chechen Republic. I am confident that joint sports events will be beneficial.

Ilham Heydar oglu, I express my gratitude to you for the warm reception. I sincerely wish the people of Azerbaijan peace, stability, tranquility, and progress.

Thank you once again for the warm reception.”

President Ilham Aliyev said:

“Thank you for your kind words. Welcome once again. You noted very correctly that our parents laid the foundation for modern relations between our peoples, although, as I said, Chechens and Azerbaijanis have always lived in friendship and mutual understanding for centuries, supporting each other.

However, our great leaders played a key role in bringing our peoples even closer together at the modern stage of development. Honoring the memories of Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov in Chechnya and Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan also demonstrates our peoples' fidelity to their traditions and way of life, as well as respect for those who laid the foundation for modern development.

I congratulate you once again. Based on my observations, what I have seen, and reports provided to me, I know how rapidly the Chechen Republic is developing under your leadership. This sincerely gladdens us. You have achieved great success in strengthening stability, security, as well as economic and social development.

This is not your first visit to Azerbaijan. I know that Azerbaijan is a close country for you. I am confident that we will see you often in Azerbaijan in the future as well. Welcome once again.”

Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov: Thank you very much.

President Ilham Aliyev: Thank you.
