2nd Meeting of Heads of Intellectual Property Entities of OTS Member States Begins in Baku

The Second Meeting of the Heads of Intellectual Property Entities of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) member states, organized by the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is taking place on October 12.

Prior to the meeting, participants visited the Alley of Honor to pay tribute at the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

Operativ Media reports that hosting the second meeting in Azerbaijan during the country's presidency of the OTS is of great importance for contributing to the development of cooperation within the organization, promoting Azerbaijan's initiatives in intellectual property, strengthening institutional ties with member states, and demonstrating the country's active role within the organization.

The first meeting of the heads of intellectual property entities of OTS member states took place on August 20, 2025, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. In the Joint Declaration adopted at the end of that meeting, the parties reaffirmed their determination to develop beneficial and long-term mutual cooperation in protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights, emphasizing the importance of expanding joint efforts in this area. The Joint Declaration also noted that the second meeting would be held in Azerbaijan.
