SCIS: Intensive cyberattacks observed targeting state information infrastructure

Cyberattack activity targeting the state information infrastructure of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been recorded since around 10:00 p.m. on October 13, 2026.

According to information provided by the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security (SCIS) to Operativ Media, the attack was carried out by a foreign hacker group, targeting over 100 state domains within Azerbaijan's state information infrastructure.

As a result of the cyberattack, disruptions occurred in the operation of online information resources of several government agencies. Following appropriate technical measures, the impact of the attack was contained, and the continuous operation of the websites was restored.

Measures are currently ongoing by the Service to ensure cybersecurity.
