The latest photo exhibition within the "A World Without Mines" international campaign, organized across Europe by Azerbaijan's "Gilavar Photo Club" Public Union, was held in the Italian capital of Rome on October 17, 2026.

Operativ Media reports that this initiative, carried out sequentially across Europe, has become an ongoing humanitarian appeal to the international community regarding Azerbaijan's landmine problem. Although the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan has ended, landmines planted during the occupation continue to pose a threat to civilians, with each new victim underscoring the urgency of the humanitarian issue.

As part of the campaign, a series of photo exhibitions have previously taken place in Geneva, Switzerland on October 5; Brno, Czech Republic on October 7; Ljubljana, Slovenia on October 9; Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 11; Zagreb, Croatia on October 13; and Salzburg, Austria on October 15.

The "Gilavar Photo Club" Public Union is the 2026 winner of the grant competition titled "Initiatives on the Problem of Landmines and Unexploded Ordnance," jointly announced by the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations and the Karabakh Revival Foundation, in partnership with ANAMA. The series of photo exhibitions across Europe is being conducted as part of this grant project.
