Spanish specialist Pep Guardiola requested an annual salary of €20 million during negotiations with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) regarding his appointment as the head coach of the national team.

​In addition, according to a report by "Sky Sports", candidates for the head coach position of the national team also include experienced specialists such as Andrea Pirlo and Roberto Mancini.

​As a reminder, Guardiola's contract with Manchester City, a club he has managed since 2016, expires at the end of June 2026. During his career, he has also served as the head coach of Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
