Dutch club Ajax has signed defender Jofre Torrents from Spanish side Barcelona.

Operativ Media reports, citing the Amsterdam club's press service, that the contract with the 19-year-old player runs until 2030.

According to AS, the Dutch side will pay approximately 6 million euros for the transfer, including bonuses. Barcelona retained the right to receive 50 percent of any future sale of the defender.

A product of the Catalan club's youth academy, Torrents made 4 appearances for the first team.
