Armenia intends to establish trade ties with Azerbaijan
Operativ Media
Armenia plans to develop trade relations with Azerbaijan over the next five years as part of efforts to strengthen peace.
According to Operativ Media, this is outlined in the Armenian government's draft action program for 2026–2031.
The document notes that, in order to institutionalize and consolidate peace, the Armenian government will continue working toward the signing and ratification of an agreement on peace and the establishment of interstate relations with Azerbaijan.
The program also envisages continuing the delimitation and demarcation process of the state border with Azerbaijan, expanding contacts between the civil societies and business communities of both countries, and revitalizing bilateral trade.
