President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will pay a visit to Uzbekistan on August 23–24.

Operativ Media reports that high-level talks and the third meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, chaired by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, are scheduled to take place in Tashkent during the visit.

The summit agenda includes the further development and expansion of Azerbaijani-Uzbek strategic partnership and allied relations.

Following the talks, the sides plan to sign a package of key bilateral documents and launch several economic and humanitarian projects.
