Armenia can leave the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) if it no longer needs membership in it.

Operativ Media reports that this was stated by Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.

"If Yerevan no longer needs membership in an organization that is so crucial for ensuring regional security, it is free to make the relevant decision and leave this organization. Until now, we have heard statements from various levels of the Armenian leadership indicating that its membership has been frozen, but that Armenia does not plan to withdraw," he said.
