French defense company Dassault plans to complete the development of the F5 standard by 2035 as part of the modernization of the Rafale fighter jet.
Operativ Media reports that Eric Trappier, CEO of Dassault, stated this on the BFM Business television channel.
"Today, we are working on this super-fighter called the Rafale F5. We are already engaged in the detailed design of this standard. The delivery timeframe is between 2033 and 2035," he said.
Trappier emphasized that no foreign companies are involved in the development of the aircraft.
In addition, he considered it possible that this aircraft could be offered for export after 2035.
